Datuk Seri Azharuddin Abd Rahman has tendered his resignation as the chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).
In a statement today, Datuk Seri Azharuddin informed that his resignation will take effect on August 14th.
This development comes after the release of the Malaysia International Civil Aviation Organisation Annex 13 Safety Investigation Team's report on the missing Malaysia Airlines aircraft Flight MH370.
In the report, there are some very apparent findings with regards to the operations of the Kuala Lumpur Air Traffic Control Centre where it did not comply with the Standard Operating Procedures.
Datuk Seri Azharuddin said he made the decision to resign from his post after contemplating the finding
His resignation was also confirmed by the Transport Minister today.
