Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), argued that the government's move to restrict entry of foreign cars into Malaysia as a regresive.
According to its president Datuk Aishah Ahmad, most of foreign cars are locally assembled in the country and has high local content.
She was met after her meeting with the council of eminent persons this morning.
Citing an example, Datuk Aishah said japanese automaker, Honda has a factory in Malacca which uses between 70 percent to 80 percent local content in its vehcile production
